Welcome to ECOEscuela [EcoSchool], the new category of the Escuela de Idiomas Nerja Blog, dedicated to ecology. With the aim of promoting environmental conservation, in this new section you can find information related to caring for the ecosystem. The creation of ECOEscuela is part of a series of initiatives carried out by the School to promote sustainable development based on respect for nature and the rational use of natural resources.
This Andalusian School has a planning strategy for the collection and recycling of reusable materials at the School. So, glass, plastic, paper, bottle tops, batteries and electrical appliances are sorted and recycled to be reused again. Another of the School’s commitments is to energy saving, with the use of low-energy halogen light bulbs. On the other hand, the School also supports the sponsorship of animals that are abused or facing extinction.
As for the ECOEscuela new BLOG section, the media team will regularly publish news of an informative and educational nature on the different aspects of ecology, such as energy saving, natural and organic products, animal care or the recycling of materials.
Caring for the environment and its protection are part of the School’s philosophy, in keeping with the ecological mentality of most of the students who visit the Centre every year. According to current data, in Spain the recycling rate increases every year, now being higher than the European average. Statistically speaking, 70% of Spaniards recycle and collaborate in caring for the planet.
