The Intensive Spanish Course and the Club 50+ Course have been the most demanded by our students during 2014 Summer Season at Escuela de Idiomas Nerja. Inside the wide offer of different courses given by the School (One to One, Spanish + Salsa, DELE Preparation Course, etc.) around 60% of an average number of 25 students per week have attended to the above mentioned courses: Intensive courses and Club 50+ Courses.

Intensive Spanish Courses include 20 hours per week, with a maximum of 32 weeks. Students are in a relaxed environment, as groups have a maximum capacity of ten students.

Both in morning or afternoon shift, students receive lessons adapted to their level A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) following a methodology in which oral communication, real and meaningful,  prevails. In this way, lessons are organised around the development of tasks that let the students exercise real communicative processes, aimed at putting into practice diverse language skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening.

However, Intensive Spanish Courses at Escuela de Idiomas Nerja are characterized by their emphasis not only in learning the language resources of Spanish, but also those social, cultural and idiosyncratic aspects of the Hispanic world. This way, the visit to Nerja becomes a total and global immersion in the experience of living inSpain.

On the other hand, Club 50+ Courses for adult students consist in 15 hours per week during two weeks. The maximum number of students is ten people, always in morning schedule. Levels given in these courses are A1, A2 and B1.

Club 50 + Courses are characterized by an out-of-the-classroom activity program especially designed for these students, including cultural and leisure visits, with a whole day-trip on the first Saturday of the Course.

The always relaxed and quiet pace of lessons (starting at10 inthe morning) is aimed at giving a nice and new experience to students over 50 years old who are looking for getting away from stress, combining learning a language with knowing the costumes and habits of Spanish culture.
